Is it cold in here?

I woke up at 5:45 this morning when my alarm went off. I then decided to hit snooze.

I woke up again at 6:59 to discover that I had actually turned my alarm OFF and that I had one minute until I was going to leave for my new practicum situation.

I sprint downstairs, wash my face, and then brush my teeth while I frantically grab a skirt out of my drawer and throw a shirt on. I grab my stuff and walk really, really quickly in my little black heels to my car.

I make it on time and actually have to wait for my teacher. It was amazing how friendly and helpful everyone was at my new school. A teacher pulled me into her classroom while I was waiting for mine to arrive, just to talk to me and find out who I was. Two students walked me to my classroom when I got lost and every teacher I encountered smiled and said "hi". Waaay different from that other school, it was so clinical and cold and no one talked to anyone.

My new teacher is amazing. She's funny, she's young, she's good natured. The kids are really cool, too. Everything about this morning was just great.

Except for when I stood up in front of the class to introduce myself and suddenly realized that I was not wearing a bra.

Why it took me that long to notice that my boobies were just free as can be is beyond me. It's not like my boobs are massive or anything, but I usually like to keep those suckers reigned in. I even wore a bra to bed until about 6 months ago. A bra was like security.

Security has gotten lax, folks. Way to go, Ninja. Not showering or wearing a bra on your first day at a new school just screams "I'm a professional! Please take me seriously!".

Oh, boy. I just hope nobody noticed. I was wearing the cami that I slept in last night under my shirt, so hopefully that helped. I still felt like an idiot and was really self conscious any time the boys in the class looked at me. Which was unfortunately frequent, seeing as I was sitting right in front of the chalkboard. And I was right under an air conditioning duct. I don't think I need to say anymore.

Oh, well. I'm happy and very excited about my new placement. I think things are going to go well with Mrs. G. She even did half of her student teaching in Ireland! If that doesn't make you cool, I don't know what does.
