Einstein: What are you doing?
Ninja: . . . Getting something out of my bag. (pause) My ID card. (pause) That okay with you?
Einstein: Yeah.

Ninja: (opens the door to walk out)
Einstein: Where are you going?
Ninja: . . . Bathroom.
Einstein: Okay!

Einstein: What are you wearing?!
Ninja: (pauses, in her underwear, one leg in her jeans) . . . pants?
Einstein: I'm wearing a skirt.
Ninja: Yep.
Einstein. Okay.

Ninja: (typing on computer)
Einstein: What are you typing?
Ninja: (pause) Um, a paper for my methods class.
Einstein: Oh, okay.

Ninja: (sitting quietly, reading)
Einstein: What are you doing?
Ninja: (deep breath) I'm reading a safety article on motorcycles.
Einstein: Oh, okay.

Ninja: (phone rings) Hello?
Einstein: (on phone) What are you doing?
Ninja: I'm sitting on the couch, downstairs, probably twenty feet from you.
Einstein: Oh, well, you should be up here.
Ninja: Okay. (if it's possible to roll your eyes verbally, I did)

Ninja: (standing on the bleachers at the football game, eating a slice of pizza she just bought)
Einstein: (has been standing next to Ninja for the past three hours) What are you eating?
Ninja: Pizza.
Einstein: What? Where did you get that?
Ninja: (suppressed dirty look) From that vendor.
Einstein: I didn't know that was happening!
Ninja: Well, it did.
Einstein: You need to tell me these things!
Ninja: That is becoming increasingly apparent to me.
Einstein: What?
Ninja: Nothing. Look, a vendor!

Einstein: Ninja, what are you doing?
Ninja: (considers pushing her fingers through her eyes and into her brain) Nothing, Einstein. Just looking at motorcycle gear. What are you doing?
Einstein: My friend Groby won't stop IMing me. He's so clingy.
Ninja: Really?
Einstein: Yeah. He is such a clingy friend. It's so annoying.
Ninja: Oh, irony.
Einstein: What?
Ninja: Nothing. Look, a football player!
