I wish I was mean.

My freshman think I'm angry all the time - mean and hateful they say.

"Why do you keep doing this us?" whine my sophomores.

"Because I'm evil," I always reply. They don't know quite how to respond to that one.

"Why are you so pissed off today?" cry the freshman, again.

"I wasn't until I got into this class. How hard is it to sit down and write in your journal?" It's not, apparently, evidently, obviously, but that doesn't seem to matter.

"Sophomore #12, what are you doing? Leave her alone, quit being mean," I say.

"Why do you keep yelling at me? You've been yelling at me all block," he whines back.

"Actually," pipes up quiet, meek Sophomore #22, "I don't think I've ever heard Ms. Ninja yell, like, ever."

Ahh, and the truth comes out.
