I already miss Collegetown. It really is a great place to live.

That moving thing is really happening. Tomorrow. Wow.

I wish I was feeling better, though I do feel better today than I did yesterday or the day before. My voice still comes out either really low, really squeaky or not at all. I don't know why I lose my voice every time I get a cold. I just do, apparently.

My last day at work was pretty good. The kids weren't all bad and most of them spent a good chunk of the morning making me good-bye cards. One girl wrote a really heartfelt message on hers and then spent another half hour writing a "book" about how I was the greatest staff ever and how I made her like reading. Every time she reads now, she's going to think of me and how my encouragement helped her to enjoy it. Now what English teacher doesn't love to hear that?!

My favorite good bye/thank you/good luck card was from, who else, but ViVi Nutkins. "Thank You Ninjakins (my silly camp nickname)" said the front. The inside had a ridiculous drawing of a "squirrel" and the text "Goodbuyye. I love acromsarconos acorns. I'm a squirrel. squeak squeak! " and then in small print at the very bottom of the card "I'll stalk you".

Oh, ViVi, I will miss you, too. I'll miss most of those little buggers. That was a great summer job.

Now I'm moving 500 miles away. Yep. Good times? Why I decided to move so far away from all that I know is a little beyond me at this point, but it is what it is. I'm not even an adventurous person! I love comfort and routine, but here I am. Excited about moving. Mostly.

I've got a shit ton of packing left to do, so I should probably get to it. Next time I post will be from my new city/home! I know you're thrilled. My updates are so enthralling.
